The summer is about over. My unit is stationed at a civilian marina, and I may miss watching drunk boaters arrive in one piece swimwear (swimwear originally sold as a two piece) staggering around, but all in all, I am ready for the autum season. I wish I could be back in TN, with the family when it gets cold enough to start the fire, though.

One thing I noticed is how much more time clothes take to dry on the line. In the heat of summer it was almost as fast as the dryer cycle. Now it can take all day.
